Mid-May we went to Idaho for the first time since moving to Las Vegas. Since I had the Hospitality Design Show that week and couldn't get away very early, Thomas drove to SLC and I flew to SLC and we met there and drove up to Blackfoot late that night. I've only been on a couple of planes, but this was my first time going alone and even though I was nervous about it, I found it really fun...especially because I got a window seat!
That next morning I got up and headed over to Jensen's Grove to see my mom finish her first race!! She had been preparing for it for a few months and it was so great to see her finish! I was so proud of her!
Since it was Emily's birthday we had to have our traditional backyard wiffle-ball game! It took a few hours, but it was full of laughter, home runs, bruises, and eventually my team won. Good times!
The next day was Emily's mission farewell. It was a great day surrounded by family and friends. I was also able to meet Steven's fiance, Shelby that day. She's so sweet and is a great match to Steven and the whole Park family...she's also a Porter! It's the beginning of the second #porterparkmerger - wedding is in Nauvoo at the end of July! Woo woo!
Monday we said our final goodbyes to the soon-to-be Hermana Emily Park. We're so excited for her and all that she is going to experience, learn, who she will become, and who she will meet.

On our drive back to Las Vegas we stopped at the Payson Temple open house. It was absolutely gorgeous! As you can tell it's not a white temple, more like a beige color, and the interior was a beautiful Neo-Classic style (if I remember right).
It was the most wonderful weekend, I had a very hard time saying goodbye and coming back to reality. Thank goodness there are a few more family meet ups this summer!
