On May 31st, Amy and Riley flew down to Vegas to hang out with Thomas and I for a week! Unfortunately I had to work, but Thomas took good care of them and kept them busy during the days. They went to the strip, went swimming, played video games, and hung out. In the evenings we would watch movies, eat, and on one of the nights I took Amy to get her first pedicure. It was super fun!

Friday after work, we piled in the car and headed up to Utah for the weekend. My cousin Carrie was getting married and Veronica and the kids came for the celebration! It was a long drive, but we entertained ourselves for hours with games like "Going on a Picnic". It ended up being so late that we had them stay in our hotel with us that night. My mom picked them up that morning and Thomas and I headed over to the hotel where Veronica and the girls were staying. It was my first time meeting Gemma and goodness, she is such a doll! Cora had recently been taught the game of throwing pennies in the fountains, so she was hitting us up for coins anytime there was a water feature.
Carrie's wedding was in this darling chapel near the Rockport Reservoir. She looked absolutely beautiful and it was so fun seeing my Judd aunts, uncles, and cousins and having the Parks there too! I'm afraid to say that I didn't take any pictures and I'm still kicking myself...
Thomas and I were able to get away for a bit to say hello to my sweet grandparents. They have had many trying health issues this year and my prayers are continually with them. They are some of the most humble, caring, sweet, and wise people I have ever met. I hope to one day be the kind of people they are, individually and as a couple.
The next day, before we headed back to Las Vegas, we took a few hours wandering Temple Square with Veronica, Cora, Gemma, and Adam. It was so good to spend time with them as we let Cora run on the grounds, jump with Thomas from place to place, sit for a bit at the visitor's centers and throw pennies in the reflecting pool. I may have shed a few tears leaving Salt Lake...
