WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS...

...ends up on the blog.
Beautiful Nevada sunset right before we entered the huge desert city.

Memorial Day weekend we tripped down to Vegas to hang out with our Idaho friends, Chris and Lacey. Traffic was crazy on the way down...I think everyone was trying to escape to warm weather. Shortly after we arrived on Friday night, we hit up happy hour at the Rahmig's favorite seafood place. They had been anxious to take us since they found out that neither of us had had sushi before. Hands down my favorite was the amazon cod. I didn't mind the vegetable rolls, but my biggest problem with sushi is that they are so dang big! I was practically choking on it while trying to chew it, so much that I could barely enjoy the thing...

PS The Philadelphia roll with uncooked Salmon...g-ross. Was it my idea to order that? So sorry.

Saturday, Lacey and I went shopping for new decor for her house while the boys went to the Las Vegas gun range. We got her house looking so good and they boys had fun, so before we could get too comfy we headed out to introduce them to Q-doba before going to see the Salt Lake Bees play the 51ers.

Mid-game we decided to head down to the strip before it got too late. Pretty sure everyone in the city thought they should do the same. I have never seen that place so busy.

I did finally make it to the Venetian for the first time...and it was pretty dang awesome.
Inside the Venetian was a crazy candy store with every treat you can imagine...even suckers with scorpions...cause that's what is...cool? ...ewww...

Sunday was a nice relaxing day since most of it was spend in the beautiful outdoors and next to the pool...
{hand stands and p.i.g. winner goes to Caley. woo woo!}

Monday we slept in and hit up the outlet malls before heading north. We stopped in Provo for some dinner and to see the Provo City Center Temple's stilts before they get covered by the dirt. It was crazy to see an entire buildling's skeleton pretty much floating in the air. I also can't wait for this temple's open house and dedication. I just know it's going to be amazing inside!

Thanks again to Chris and Lacey for making our holiday so awesome!
We love and miss you and hope to see you soon!

  1. The philly roll is my FAVORITE!! Sushi is different at every restaurant, so maybe that place didn't have a good philly. We've been to sushi restaurants all over the SLC valley, and philly is still my all-time favorite.
