OUR DESERT ESCAPE

It's been years since we took a weekend away for just the two of us. 

So we planned a little getaway to warmer weather last weekend.

It was glorious to say the least! 

(The first photo is at Entrada...the place where HSM2 was filmed.

We saw the clubhouse and area where Zac Efron was...it was awesome!)

Not only was it in the 60's every day, but we got to spend every moment together.

We attended the Parade of Homes and we learned a lot about each other's 

likes and dislikes...calming my fears a bit for when we build a house someday.

(Let me just say that I'm pretty excited that we see eye-to-eye on the important stuff! 

As a designer, I know what I like! haha)

Saturday night we met up with the Durham's and went to a fun Hibachi grill for dinner.

Sunday night they were so sweet to make us dinner, hang out with their hilarious kids, 

and invited us to watch Downton Abbey's finale with them.

(Did you see it? If you have, don't spoil it because I have friends reading this that haven't caught up yet...

but I'm so heartbroken about it! Ugh!)

It was definitely a much needed, wonderful, warm, awesome, perfect getaway...

even if we did come back to another week of the bitter cold and snow.

I think we need to do these kinds of things more often! ;)

That reminds me...I want to add some more places to our Utah bucket-list for this summer.
