Yep, Amy and I were shepherds this year in the nativity play so we grew out our hair and tied it to our faces. It was seriously awesome. The rest of the actors had normal looking costumes. Maybe if they get a little more creative next year, they'll make the blog. haha...jokes, but seriously...
It was one of the more laid back Christmas' we've ever had, but probably one of the best. We got to see a lot of family members, were very blessed in the present area, travelled safely, and didn't have any bad luck. {The end of December is famous for delivering bad news, deer crashes, and awful weather. We only had a half-decent blizzard to drive though, pretty good compared to years past!}
We attended our very first hockey game in Salt Lake City. It was crazy. People are crazy. I heard that people go to see the players fight, but I only half believed that. Boy, was I mistaken! The crowd cheered on every little scuffle in hopes for a boxing match on the ice. I mean, it definitely kept things interesting...but for this tender hearted, raised with only girls, girl...it was rough. BUT I will say that the shoot out for the winning point was pretty dang exciting!
We were also able to attend Thomas' cousin Maddi's wedding last weekend in the Idaho Falls temple. It was so beautiful and they were so happy! I'm glad we got to be there for them. As for Utah, the weather is freeeezing and the smog in SLC is awful/kind of pretty at times. Let's just say that I get very excited when the bus' heater is working {I now take the express bus to work...it's waaaay faster!}. It's the little things, right?!
If you've been reading this blog long enough, you know that every year about this time I get so tired of my hair and need a drastic change. I realized the other day just how long it is. The bathroom mirror in my grandma's house didn't show anything past my shoulders and I was shocked to see it in the mirrors at this new place! I finally have the long hair I wanted...and now I need a change. Imagine that?! Any ideas?!
With that said, Happy New Year everyone! It's 13...my lucky number, that means this year is going to ROCK, yo! Hope you're ready for it!
