THE COLDEST DAY THIS YEAR

...was the day we moved.
Isn't that always how it goes?

Thankfully we were kindly blessed by a lot of awesome family members who travelled and took the time to make it quick and pretty painless. There are many things I will miss about living in my grandparent's house: the architectural details, the old windows, the new paint color I spent hours adding, the big living room windows that let in so much light, and most of all...the memories.
But, it was time to say our goodbyes and let someone else make their own memories. Although it will be weird to drive by it and know that someone else {that's not apart of our family} lives there.
PS Packing/unpacking is the worst.
(Old kitchen on left, new kitchen on right)
Our new living room...I made sure the tree was up by the 2nd day!
As well as the little fiber optic one in our bedroom.

Now I just wish I had a little bit of Mary Poppin's finger-snapping power to make the house unpack itself...

  1. we're moving this Saturday and I'm just hoping for nice weather and a fast move. A friend of mine moved during the hurricane out here. Guess it can always be worse. Fun to have a new start, but it's hard to leave the home you made and get to making a new one. Good luck Caley girl! -Kayleen
