new look. more patience.

I changed it again. I know. I know. I know.

But tonight I needed it. You see, today was a long, rough day...full of emails, customers, inventory, motivational "sales" speeches, too much pizza, emotional breakdown in front of co-workers (so humiliating), more emails, and a headache.

It's days like these that I come home needing a therapy session. So, I tried cleaning my inbox: didn't help. I tried watching Modern Family: didn't help. I tried watching Make it or Break it: so didn't help. I tried redesigning the blog: bingo! There is something so peaceful yet rejuvenating about designing this thing. Good thing it's free, huh? haha.

I have thought about naming this blog for a few months, maybe even a year, but nothing felt right...until a few days ago. I have had this topic on my mind for quite a while and Sunday I had an epiphany (or tender mercy...however you want to look at it).

I've been trying to be more patient each day to more appreciate what each day has to offer, instead of anticipating the future when "the grass will be greener". It's a hard thing I've come to find. I'm a planner and a dreamer and I think about the future A LOT! I'm usually thinking about moving to a new city, our future family (more than a lot) and warmer weather. So in my efforts to appreciate or even "love this moment"...I put it where it will remind me often...and hopefully you too!

Life will continue to get crazier, fly faster, and even make you cry sometimes, but if we can try to treasure the tender moments a little more, life will be sweet. I promise.

Here's to a new outlook to right now!
(and a goodnight wish!)

  3. Love your title!! I am like you--- I have SUCH a hard time not thinking about/planning the future. I"ve had to learn over the past 3 months how much God is in control of our lives and how his plan is the best for us- instead of ours. I"m still trying hard every day to learn it, and it's been really hard for me. And you're right, re-designing the blog helps a ton. good thing it is free. Love you! I'm going to try to work on my design blog today.... i've been working on my resume making that good and updating it so I can plop it wherever I see fit.
