PAIN DEMANDS TO BE FELT

As much as I try to ignore that statement, it always comes back and tries me again and again until I do. It’s been five years now since our run-in with the doctors, the treatments, the poison, the hospital stays, the pet/ct scans, the sleepless nights, the chills and sweats, the weird appetites, and the exhaustion that cancer brings. For those of you who don’t know, my wonderful husband was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in December of 2008, just eighteen months after being married. We caught it early and he has been cancer free since 2009. We are blessed…it could have been far, far worse. But, I’m not writing today to tell the story of how it all went down. That will be one of the concluding chapters in the Love Story I am writing here on this little blog of mine, so stay tuned. WITH ONE DAY TO SPARE

So. We've moved. States. In three days time. With one day to spare. I accepted a position at Habitations in S. Ogden and started yesterday. A week ago we were still twiddling our thumbs in Blackfoot. By Saturday morning we were on our way to a new place for new adventures! What do you think of our new home? Charming, isn't it? It's actually my grandparent's old house. The home they moved into on their wedding day. It's on the market and we're here to cheer it up and give it some love for the next little while. (As it whips us into clean-people shape for showings.) Today was day two at the new job. It feels amazing to have my mind on real interior design work again. Yes, there is a a ton to learn (AutoCad is a beast!), but I'm really liking it. Bonus: my coworkers are awesome. Besides the part-time receptionist, I'm the only gal. It's the first time since we've been married that I've worked with guys....

30 Day Photo Challenge

I know some of you already post daily on your blog {fashion, thoughts, family stuff, etc}, but I think it would be fun to get to know you a little more through this challenge.
