Love + Together-ness

With Valentine's Day being on a Monday this year, we decided to do more gifts than a big outing.

It all started Sunday morning, actually, when I successfully surprised Thomas with breakfast in bed. I made his favorite banana pancakes and threw in a few chocolate chips for a surprise. :)

They tasted a lot better than they look, I promise! Thomas then gave me his Valentine's gift...in a Christmas bag...

You might think it's weird that I got this when we don't have a kinect. Wellllll...I was going to get a kinect for Thomas and surprise him with it, but I leaked the surprise, which ended up a good thing because he was going get the same thing for me!

This little machine/robot is stinking AMAZING! 5 years ago I wouldn't have been able to imagine this kind of technology nor that I'd have one! We had to move the entertainment center to the other wall so we had enough room to use it...

It's the funnest thing ever. We have been bowling {I wasted Thomas!}, played soccer, tennis, etc...and I may or may not have played another 2.5 hours after that...{myfitnesspal.com said I burned over 600 calories playing that long, so I think we'll keep it!}

And yes, that is our Christmas tree. It's un-decorated so we can now just call it a tree! ;) Maybe I'll put hearts on it so we can call it our Valentine's tree. Who knows...

Monday night we had a great time cooking together, even if Thomas sprayed me with the faucet/sprayer/thingy. Accident? Who knows...

We made Waldorf Chicken Salad, just like the one from California Pizza Kitchen {mmm}, red potatoes, and sparkling cider...

Sorry for the dark photo, we had the lights on low ;)
Thomas also bought me some red tulips! Which I think are great because they don't die like roses...that is, if I can keep them alive until spring comes...

It was a wonderful Valentine's Weekend! I couldn't have asked for more! I'm also so grateful for a wonderful husband & best friend! My life wouldn't be complete without him!
