As you know, we've recently moved to a new town. Ammon to be exact. This is our 3rd ward we've been in this year {crazy!}. The family ward we moved from in Rexburg was just beginning to feel like home. We were primary teachers for the 4 and 5 year olds. We had 10 kids in our class and they really felt like my kids. They were a handful, but they were also some of the sweetest spirits I've ever met. I cried as we drove away on our last Sunday there. I hope they know that we loved them.
But good news...this ward is already beginning to feel like home. Everyone has been very kind, outgoing, and anxious to get to know us. I wouldn't be surprised if we spoke in Sacrament Meeting soon. {Can you believe in our 3+ years of marriage, we've never spoken? Either we're good avoiders or slackers, I hope not the 2nd one.}
Today in church was fast and testimony meeting {as is the first Sunday in every month.} I thought a few times that I would share my testimony today, but didn't get the chance to. So, instead, I'm going to share it here. It is a simple testimony, but I know that what I say is true. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church of God here on this earth. I know the Book of Mormon is true and that a man can get closer to God by it's words than by any other book. I know that President Monson is a prophet of God and that the apostles are called of God and are special witnesses of His son, Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ when he was only 14 years old and restored the truth to the earth again. I know that Jesus Christ was born to Mary and sacrificed His life for me so that I may, one day, return to my Father without spots and become perfected in Him. I know that if I live my life worthily, I will be sealed to my family for time and all eternity. There is nothing that brings me greater joy than to know that. I know that the world seems like it is swirling uncontrollably, but I know who I am and my purpose here on this earth because of the truth of the gospel of Christ. I testify that is all true and I dare you to study it in your minds and pray to find out for yourself, if you don't know already. He will answer you as you seek to do His will.
I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and are counting your blessings everyday!
