CHAPTER 20 - THE OREGON COAST

I think one of my favorite parts of being married, at that time, was that it was the beginning of not ever having to say goodbye and good night at the doorstep or on the phone anymore. Our beginning lead us west to the Oregon Coast. We stopped in Boise before the long drive, but once we got on the road, it was a grand 'ol time. We made a pit stop at Multnomah Falls...

The greenery was so gorgeous and every angle had a view. It was the falls on one side and the Colombia River on the other.

That night we eventually made it to our hotel on the gorgeous Oregon Coast. (This was the view from the deck off our room... can't beat it!)
We found the best little breakfast restaurant, Lil Sambos, down the road from our hotel and still regret not eating there more! The grounds of the restaurant were filled with the most beautiful and unique flowers, I'm pretty sure I took a picture of every one.
We also enjoyed the awesome aquarium in Newport, the beach, driving through the thick trees, and trying to skim board. It was so relaxing, exactly what I needed after a crazy, quick, stressful nine weeks of wedding planning.
We eventually made our way to Portland and stopped by the Chinese Gardens. It was literally like another world in the middle of the city. We loved it!
That afternoon we did a session at the Portland Temple and that evening we had one of the best meals of our lives at the Portland City Grill. The next day we headed back to Eastern Idaho to prep for our move to our new little apartment in Rexburg...
