My favorite months are flying by faster than ever and the only thing I know what to do about it is to take pictures. So I am. In June, one my good friends, Geri, asked me to be her last minute second photographer at her sister-in-law's wedding. How could I say no? It's been a dream of mine to do something like that! It was a gorgeous Saturday with gorgeous people and I loved every second. I hope to share some of my favorites from the day...stay tuned!
After a busy morning on temple square, I hurried back and met my family for the drive to Bear Lake to attend Pickleville Playhouse's "Who Shot Juanito Bandito?" and you guys...I freaking laughed so hard that I cried to the point of sobs... soooo funny! The plot line is obviously followed every time, but they have the funniest impromptu conversations on that stage that the cast was also choking back laughter. Good medicine right there, folks.

That next weekend I chopped off more hair. It had gotten to that awkward stage where it started going down the neck of my shirt and I just couldn't handle it anymore. So I surfed Pinterest, as I quite often do, and found THIS adorable a-line bob and had to have it. I really do love it. Some days I wonder why, but over all I like it.
To be honest, I think I even might go shorter next time. I've always wanted to try a long pixie, and if I can get where I want to...I might just be doing THIS next time, cause, why not? I'm almost there anyway?! Think I can pull it off?
So, the Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. It's not like we do all that much, I don't know that I even saw more than five fireworks this year...but there's just something about summer, family, food, being outside, and traditions that I love. This year my parents added a new friend to the mix: a puppy.
Let me be honest, I'm not really a dog person...or a pet person, so I was kind of weary about a dog at my parent's house. I actually got a puppy for my seventh birthday, but it was so hyper that it jumped all over us and scared my sister Kelsey half to death. We had her for only a couple of weeks. Since then, my family has only had lazy cats. So, maybe it's just that I haven't had good dog experiences, but I wasn't so sure about this new puppy my parents had adopted the weekend of Bear Lake.
But, I take it back. I mean...look at his face!
His name is Bo and he's a poodle - shih tzu mix and he's the sweetest.
And I may have taken to him, just a little bit...
(Thanks to Thomas for capturing this new found friendship)
The next day we got up early and caravanned behind my family, with Thomas' dad and Emily, to Cave Falls, just inside Yellowstone National Park. It was a beautiful, bumpy, dusty, and long drive, but worth it.
Well, July is over half over, but it has been a wonderful month. I would gladly do it all again!
P.S. I got a new niece on 7-7-14, little Michelle Claire. She's adorable, but so far away in Arkansas. Hopefully I get to meet her before the year is up, cross your fingers.
P.S.S. We celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary by checking out the new aquarium in Draper. It was pretty awesome. We then made ourselves sick on delicious desserts at Leatherby's. Worth it.
P.S.S.S. Hornets and bike helmets don't mix. Don't ask.

I've always heard once you cut your hair short you tend to keep cutting it shorter and shorter. Its so true! Your definition of long changes! I've been playing with the idea of a long pixie for awhile but I'm scared of the "growing it out nightmare" when I decide I want longer hair again. P.S. I love you and short hair!
