TURN YOUR FACE TO THE SUN

I first heard of the Maori people when learning about the history of the Hamilton, New Zealand LDS Temple. I found it fascinating. When I read this quote the first time, I didn't realize that it was their proverb, but just found the pure faith and trust in it's words inspiring. It made it even better when I realized it said "Maori".

I also like that it doesn't use the words "perhaps" or "maybe" or "might", but it just says that the shadows fall behind you. It's a promise to me that if I work to keep a healthy balance in my life and have faith, then things will work out. It might not be when I want them to, but in the end, it will.

Sometimes, that's all you need - a little ray of hope to get you from one day to the next.
