Taken just a few hours after the news of Sister Monson's passing.
Taken on the way back from the tabernacle after Sister Monson's funeral.
The outside pane of the train's window was cracked in so many pieces
that it glittered the whole way home. I took way too many pictures of it...haha.
After a great twelve hour work day {and I'm not being sarcastic when I say "great".}
"X" marks the spot.
See that box on the edge up there? It's where the baby falcons live.
If you're around Salt Lake in the next couple of weeks...
the babies are learning to dive and fly.
Can't get enough of this building, obviously.
It's been so stinking hot downtown...so I had to take a picture of the tree...
...that saves me from being cooked alive while waiting for the bus everyday.
With time ticking on the last couple months of my internship, I'm trying to think of final things I need to experience/photograph while there.
Here's what I've got on my list so far: Ensign Peak, Brigham Young Park, Conference Center, and the Visitor Centers. Let me know if you have any suggestions!! :)
P.S. Did you know that I climbed ALL of the stairs in the Church Office Building?
It was pretty crazy... HERE is the post if you missed it (written by my co-worker Aubrey)
Have you checked out Parley P Pratt's grave (just north of the COB, you can get there from Main St or State St) and Brigham Young's grave (east of COB on south side of 1st ave)? Both could be visited during lunch. There's also Memory Grove-- just follow City Creek up a block or two-- where I had my wedding reception :) And PLEASE tell me you've gone to the Cathedral of the Madeleine on South Temple?! That's where we got some of our engagement pictures taken. I'm in heaven when I go there. You HAVE to go inside!
