ME: A MODEL & A BRIDE TO BE

DAY SEVENTEEN: A favorite photo of yourself and why. Although it's not super great quality, this one of me, just a few weeks before our wedding, will always be a favorite. Even though I cried many tears that day because my hair wouldn't stay curled (both a hairdresser and I tried...it's never not curled for me and has never not since) and we had to call in for back up...(I did NOT want my hair up for my photos, but it turns out I had to) ...they turned out pretty great.

DAY EIGHTEEN: Tell a story from your childhood.

Sundays were always the best days when I was growing up. I really loved church, especially singing time in Primary. But the best thing about Sundays, when we lived in Coalville, was that all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins would all gather at grandma and grandpa's house. This particular Sunday was special because they had just returned from their mission in Ukraine. The girl cousins gathered in the basement with all of grandma's old dress up clothes. The older girls were on hair and makeup duty and the rest of us were the models. We spent hours prepping and then mapped out the route from the basement, through the upstairs, and out the front door to the porch that was decorated as our stage. We were buddied up with another cousin to do one karaoke performance before we headed down for our 2nd outfit change. I remember feeling so important and so cute, especially in my brand new Sketcher sandals...notice that I'm the only one with shoes on? Yeah, I didn't want to take them off...haha, good times!
