CHRISTMAS IS NEXT WEEK??

I'm sorry, but it does not feel like Christmas to me. Thanksgiving? Sure! But, not Christmas. I'm not sure if it's because we have been in the process of moving for the past month or if it's because the weather was so nice for so long or if time is just going too fast for my mind or what...but I am in shock that it's already NEXT WEEK!! Ah!

The night before we moved {I know...the most stressful night of the whole ordeal} we went to the amazing production of Savior of the World at the conference center. While I waited for Thomas to patiently drive to downtown Salt Lake City, I wandered around Temple Square and tried to take it all in...trying to focus on the season. I was hoping for a little stroll with my love, but sadly the traffic did not allow for that. Anyway, I just had to take some photos...

I just loved this view with the nativity positioned below the temple.
The perspective of Christ's birth near His temple built in modern day...beautiful.
The tree in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building was breathtaking! I loved those pearls combined with the crystal from the old Copenhagen, Denmark chandelier...so beautiful!

After my stroll through the lit trees and scenes, I met up with Thomas and we found our seats in the little theater. Right before it began I noticed someone special take his seat just a few rows in front of and to the side of us...
It was so special to me to have an apostle of the Lord in the same room as we were filled with the love of God during the story of His Son. I couldn't help but wonder what President Uchtdorf was thinking about during the scenes and especially when the Savior is resurrected and appears to his apostles...

The presentation was very well done and I blubbered the entire way through it. It began in the very first scene where Elizabeth talks about wanting children and...well it never ended. It's the third time I've been and I will never get tired of it. It's a huge testimony builder and has definitely made me think about every person in that story: Mary, Joseph, Elizabeth, the apostles and more.

So even though it may not feel like Christmas...I'm going to try and soak up the few free days I have to spend with family and rejoice in my Savior, for He brings the most joy that I can even imagine. :)

I hope all is well with you and your families! Love and miss you all!
Merry Christmas!
