Being an adult changes things.
One of the many things it's changed is my favorite season. I remember my mom always telling me that autumn was her favorite season. She loved the colors, the weather, and I think it is also because it's her birthday season. It never made sense to me until a year ago when we lived in Fort Collins, CO. Being out of Idaho's desert made autumn so incredible! Just like mom my said, the colors and weather were absolutely breathtaking. (Mom's are always right, aren't they!) ;)
I've loved having those maple trees in our yard this year. The golden hues of the leaves were my favorite! I wish I were home in the day light to enjoy them more! They literally changed colors overnight and then shed all the leaves, again, overnight. We had a pile taller than my youngest cousin. Boy, did those kids love playing in the leaves. I'm so glad they came over to "help" us!
The colors on temple square were breathtaking as well. My sister and I throughly enjoyed spending our lunch breaks out doors...
Goodbye golden autumn! Thanks for making me smile every time I looked at you!
{And I guess I should say "Welcome Winter" since we have a few inches this morning...goodie...}PS For those who have been asking, I finally got some before and after photos of our home posted on Design by Caley.

Beautiful pictures! And ya know what - this was the first fall that I REALLY enjoyed! I usually am so sad summer's over but not this year.
ReplyDeleteOh your pictures are fantastic! Love the fall colors... yeah we lost all our leaves too fast as well. Silly Sandy... but fall is wonderful!
