Yesterday we visited Jurassic Park...aka Ogden Eccles Dinosaur Park!
{These guys behind the fence really moved and made all sorts of noises! scarrrrry!}
Look at that Woolly Mammoth! They were actually hunted by humans once upon a time.
Glad I didn't live back then. Also glad I didn't live among dinosaurs. Look at that T-Rex!
Mmmm...a tasty meal on display! Would you believe that it's all stone?
And how about those quartz and diamonds??
The huge one is The Lady Smokey Quartz...over 44,700 carats!
Forget a ring finger, it would take both arms to hold that thing!
Run for you lives! You too Derek...don't act like you don't see the T-Rex behind you!
Well, I guess as long as we are faster than you, we'll be alright! ;)
Man these things were fast!
There were over 50 actual-size, model dinosaurs outside the museum!
It was so neat to walk around and see the different features each one had.
Again, so glad these things don't live among us. {shudder}
This play ground was pretty sweet, too! They also had areas where you could dig in the sand for bones, pan for gold, a tunnel with a real-life partially exposed dino skeleton, and windows into the office where the paleontologists were working on removing more bones from the ground they were found.
I was definitely impressed by the museum and really enjoyed walking around with the three 8-12 year old boys listening to their imaginations and sound effects as we passed every dino
{quite different than growing up with just sisters!}
