So, CSU's color is green, which is perfect because they are alllll about "going green" here. It's pretty rad if you ask me...parts of Idaho haven't quite caught onto it, yet. Anywho, Friday was a fun night. Thomas got off of work a little early so we could watch the homecoming parade. There were some fun things I had never seen before, like this human powered car...can you tell that all the girls are pedaling to make it go forward?
Here's another one...this one is a moving bar and the customers pedal to make it move. Although, now that I think about it, I have no idea who drives the thing. Anyone know?
Had to throw in this picture...we're fans of The Onion around here.
Saturday was absolutely beautiful! Along with some spiritual enlightenment, we met up with my cousin Courtney and her husband Brayden for some lunch and shopping in old town Fort Collins. It was so much fun. I finally found myself a mustard-colored jacket...I've been looking for once since March! Now I just need some fall weather to wear it in!
After our adventures downtown, we headed back to CSU's campus. Thomas gave me a little tour and we stopped at this beautiful flower garden. It was huge! The picture below is just a fraction of the gardens! I had seen most of the flowers before, but there were some beautiful new ones!
Sunday was anther beautiful weather day and spiritual day. Between sessions we joined with the Scharf family on a drive through the hills to the fish hatchery. It reminded me of my childhood days. My grandpa used to take us on drives through the mountains of northern Utah between sessions and my dad used to take my sisters and I to fish hatcheries when we were young. Thomas had never been and the little girls thought it was a blast! I couldn't believe how many fish they had in there!
It was a great first weekend in Colorado! I can't believe how many things there are to do here! Our weekends are filling up fast! If you know of something we must see...let us know and we'll add it to the bucketlist.
