Today marks four years! Woo woo! Can't believe it's been another year already! Time flies so fast these days! Things are going well for us! Thomas finishes his classes and walks at graduation in 2 weeks! (He has one more semester but it's an internship.) 

We've been through some rough times but it has made us stronger and we wouldn't take what we've learned from it back. We've learned to lean on each other as well as our Heavenly Father. We've learned how important friend's and family's relationships are. We've learned that things can always be worse...even if you don't think it can...and we've learned to recognize and appreciated the everyday blessings that we have.

One of the best words of advice that I received before my wedding day was said by best friend's mom:

"Be loyal to your spouse in every thought, word, and deed."

She explained that there would be times when others would be complaining about their spouses, but that I should not join them. That, being loyal means to not talk about their faults or what annoys us with others. It means to be at their side when things get tough. It means to love them despite of their faults, for we have faults also. It means to serve them with all of our strength. To not even think unkind things about them, but that we should "smother them with love". 

I have never forgotten it. I have tried to keep these thoughts with me at all times, in every situation. I have tested it and I know that this advice will make any relationship stronger. Imagine if every friendship, marriage, and individual lived by this advice. What a different world it would be.
