Farewell Elder Park!

We have had the most wonderful past few days! Steven has been preparing for months for his mission to El Salvador and the day is almost here! Last Wednesday Marisa got into town for the big farewell weekend! Thursday evening we all went to the temple {it was so great to be there with the family!}

Saturday Kyle, Veronica, and Adam all made it home! We had a bbq and a wiffle ball game! Marisa and I were team captains. Even though we were home team, they beat us.
Sunday was a beautiful day spent with family.
These last few days have been filled with making memories, playing games, and prepping for the trip to the MTC tomorrow to say farewell for two years.

While it has been an exciting time seeing Steven get ready to go, it's also been a little emotional. Although the situation was quite different when Thomas left on his mission, it's still hard to know that they will be gone for two years. He will be missed.

I have been comforted knowing that he will be watched over and protected as he is serving our Heavenly Father and teaching His children. We are so blessed to know who we are, where we came from, where we're going, the purpose of this life, and the truth of the Savior. So many people have no idea who they are. The joy of telling someone who they are and having them believe it, will not only change their lives, but their family's, Steven's life, his family's life, etc...

He is going to have some amazing experiences and I'm so excited for him! Good luck Elder Park!
